A Really Good Game!

Today was probably the last basketball game for Mark for this season.
The were playing the other team for the same park. They are in second place where our kids are tied for last place. So a win was important.

Long story short, we lost, but it was a great game. We only lost by one point and it was due in part because one of the boys didn't understand he wasn't suppose to foul if our kid made both free throws. So instead of a chance of going to overtime we lost by one point.

Mark played well. No points, but he got more involved in the play especially defensively.

He drove this kid crazy, he was never able to get the ball because Mark played good defense.
Making the inbound pass.
Next we'll be starting baseball!!! Yippee!

He's so cute!

This weekend was the City Youth Bowling Tournament. Not a stellar proformance for Mark, but he did ok. For Saturday he was teamed with three boys he didn't know. However, they hit it off and had a good time. In fact, at times they had way too much of a good time!
I had my Nikon with me (of course) and took pictures without the flash of course. (Long story, but let's just say people get uptight about the strangest things.)

Here's one of the pictures I took of Mark, it's just so sweet!

Pictures from around San Dimas

Last Friday I had the day off, so it was a day to take care of some different things. One was to take some pictures around town between my hair cut and lunch with my friend, Thersea. Fortunately, there was a break in the rain between the hair cut and lunch that allowed me to walk around town and get a few pictures with my "new" Nikon D70.

The Walker House is almost complete and looks amazing!

Basketball Part 2

Number 31 just like his dad... are at least one of the numbers his dad had through his athletic career.

With today's game being rained out, yes, rained out, because most of the games are outside. I thought I would share some pictures from Wednesday's game. Because it's a mid-week they are shortened games. Mark didn't do anything spectular, but he did get a rebound or two.

I love this picture. Looks like Mark is thinking "Ha! I got the ball and you guys better stay on the ground!"

Passing the ball, even when he has a WIDE OPEN SHOT he passes the ball!

Here is passing the ball in, that's Coach T giving him words of encouragement. At least that's what I tell myself. I don't ask.

What I do in Monthly Meetings

The first Tuesday of the month we have the IMT Donuts and Devotions. Good meeting, not a lot of time wasted and we're usually done in 30 minutes or so. For whatever reason I started bringing a picture and my colored pencils to that meeting so I can color. I love to color and find it very relaxing. Also, by coloring it keeps my hands busy and I tend to focus on what is being said better.

The big boss said he doesn't mind as long as I don't bring a newspaper to read. This month he was finishing up the meeting and stops to ask if I'm done with my picture yet so we can end the meeting. I was... and here it is:

My favorite Superbowl Commerical - 2009

I'm a big fan of the Mean Joe Green Coke machine. I was disappointed to hear that it is "retiring" from the Superbowl Commercial contest. And even sadder that it didn't win last Saturday night's competition. http://tinyurl.com/cp4hdt Especially with what the competition was.... good grief...

They were hyping the new Tony Polamalu Coke Zero commercial. I was a doubter, nothing could compare to the Mean Joe Green commercial. So during the game when they showed that commercial, well, I have to say they did a good job! I laughed so hard I almost cried. So I wanted to share it here, so I can come back and enjoy it any time I want!
